On Friday morning, all classes within our school took part in the Take 5 Book Buddy Connect sessions.
The older KS2 pupils in the school visit the younger classes where they find their Buddy match and enjoy sharing books together. Older pupils will read to their little Buddy, support them in enjoying a book of their own level and sometimes celebrating their favourite part of the stories by drawing together.
Our Buddy system helps pupils to Connect their Literacy learning across different Key Stages and also allows pupils to build relationships and confidence in their older representatives. These partners can also help them with their play, social skills and organising outdoor games.
