Problem Solving in P5!

This week, P5 have been busy exploring a range of problem-solving strategies and learning that there’s often more than one way to tackle a challenge. We used lots of different methods, including the iZAK9 boxes, to help us think, talk through our ideas, test strategies and explain our reasoning. It was fantastic to see pupils showing perseverance, teamwork and growing confidence as they worked through tricky problems.

We were also very lucky to have a special visitor – Rosie the dog  – who helped support learning by creating a calm, positive atmosphere and giving pupils an extra boost of motivation and smiles throughout the day!

Please continue to encourage your child to talk about how they solve problems at home – making mistakes, trying again and explaining their thinking are all part of becoming a confident learner. We are very proud of P5’s effort and enthusiasm this week!
