For Outdoor Learning Day we took our numeracy lesson outside. We selected a leaf and drew it to scale on 1x1cm squared paper. Then we measured it and drew it on a second sheet of 2x2cm squared paper to enlarge it. We discussed how we use scale in real life for example in maps. The children enjoyed learning outside.
