On Monday 17th February, Year 3 classes visited the Local Pharmacy, Mathewson Chemist in Ballymoney, as part of the Science Week Focus: Pharmacy Schools Programme. The boys and girls in Mrs Boreland’s / Mrs Duggan’s class, Miss Magee’s class and Mrs Mack’s class were warmly welcomed by the staff at Mathewson Chemist. They were shown what happens in the journey of leaving a prescription at the receptionist to receiving the prescribed medicines at the counter. The boys and girls in class 3AB/CDwere even more surprised to be allowed to see inside a special Consultation Room, should you need to discuss your health or medication with the Pharmacist.
A huge thanks is extended to the staff at Mathewson Chemist for such an interesting visit with all Year 3 classes to see a Local Pharmacist at work.
