As part of our topic ‘Shine a Light’, Year four explored the scientists and inventors who first created our electronic devices. To finish off our topic we explored a selection of resources to discover which were conductors and insulators. Pupils built understanding about what it meant to conduct electricity and allow the circuit energy to flow through the item. They worked in partners to build circuits and investigated which would allow the bulb to light.
