This week we are learning all about firefighters. We talked about how their uniforms need to be waterproof. We carried out an experiment to find out which material is best used to make a firefighter’s uniform. We used droppers to add water to paper, tissue, plastic and cloth. After much observation we discovered plastic is waterproof. At home time we talked about the materials of our coats and realised some of us have waterproof coats.
