As part of our Helping Hands topic pupils in Mrs Carson’s class have been learning all about the fire service. Pupils were thinking about the equipment used by firefighters and the uniform they wear. Pupils investigated to find out which material would be best to use to make a waterproof uniform for firefighters. They added water to different materials to find out which one had the best waterproofing qualities. They made lots of predictions. At the end of the investigation all pupils agreed that plastic was the best waterproofing material.
