Pupils had a fantastic week carrying out a variety of superhero tasks in school and at home. On Friday 7th February, every class took time to read a story called, ‘No Two Stars are the Same’. The aim of the book is to raise awareness of Autism and to educate children about the condition.
Staff work incredibly hard to ensure that Ballymoney Model IPS is an Autism Friendly School. We were delighted to receive an email from Autism NI to acknowledge that the school has implemented adjustments for autistic pupils and staff in line with the Autism (Amended) Act 2022 and has achieved the Impact Award. We are happy to be Impact Award Champions and proud of the plaque and logo that we can display in school.
