Developmental Language Disorder is a hidden but common disability that affects 1 in 14 people causing difficulties understanding and using language for no known reason. The 2024 DLD day theme is ‘Speak up for DLD’ and Mrs Mack's class made posters to raise awareness for DLD. The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists NI held an event in the Long Gallery, Stormont Building on 18th October. All pupils within Speech and Language classes across Northern Ireland were encouraged to sing 'This Little Light of Mine' on 18th October.
