As part of Using Mathematics Year One were learning all about forwards and backwards. In order to respond to and use the language of movement, pupils in Mrs Carson’s class went outside to play a movement game. They used two dice, one to determine the direction and the other to determine the number of steps to be taken in given direction. It was great fun to take teaching and learning outside.
