Our football team got off to a great start in the Doherty Cup with an impressive win against Portrush Primary School.
Any pre-game nerves were immediately settled as the team scored almost straight from the kick-off.
A very good first half performance saw the team score four goals, giving them a great halftime lead.
Despite a very determined performance by Portrush in the second half, the players scored another three goals. One of our halftime substitutes scored a brace while another player completed his hat trick.
Above all else, the players demonstrated great skills, teamwork, and represented their school very well with a high-scoring performance.
Commiserations to Portrush Primary School who played with passion throughout the match and never gave up. We wish them all the best in the Doherty Shield.
