As part of our Helping Hands World Around Us topic, pupils in Mrs Carson’s class have been learning all about the role of a firefighter. Pupils had the opportunity to carry out an experiment to investigate how a firefighter’s hose might work. They blew bubbles in water and found out that the bubbles bubbled at a different rate depending on how much air they blew through the straw. They then tried blowing the water to make it travel. Year One had great fun, however only a few thought they would be brave enough to become a firefighter when older.
