We have been exploring our outdoor classroom, willow tunnels and the different sights, sounds and species within our school environment. Pupils in Mrs Carson’s class were learning lots of things about food as part of the “Yummy, Yummy” food topic during Term 2. They thought about food they like/disliked, where food comes from and the effect of heating and cooling on food. Best of all they sampled lots of different foods. Easter Nests in Mrs Carson’s class.

Year One pupils thoroughly enjoyed making Easter Nests. They discussed the ingredients required and the method was followed to make the Easter Nests. While the pupils waited patiently for the buns to set, they completed a sequencing activity, to record the procedure followed to make the buns. At last it was time to taste and everyone agreed they tasted delicious!

The pupils in Mrs Carson’s class were delighted to welcome parents, family and friends to a special assembly which they led. The assembly focussed on the monthly value of respect. Pupils talked about what respect means to them. They also recited a respect poem and sang some respect songs.
