Under the theme Our Wonderful World, the Ulster Orchestra guided some of our pupils through a musical adventure celebrating nature, the incredible diversity of animal life and the importance of protecting the environment. Pupils enjoyed music which highlighted each musical family within the orchestra, the string, woodwind, brass and percussion. They also had the opportunity to conduct under the direction of the conductor as well as respond and dance to the orchestral music. A favourite performance was a piece of music played on instruments created from recycled saucepans and bins. Who knows, attending this wonderful concert may inspire some of our pupils to become professional musicians.
